Many high end hotels during the sixties and early seventies had their own in-house lines and produced customs pieces for their ritzy clients. This is from Italy and is just that! It is absolutely amazing and truly a stunner. The outside caftan is gathered across the shoulders and then swoops to the ground with an almost twenties cocoon silhouette feel. It hooks at the neck and the expanse of fabric allows the gorgeous grapes and vine design be showcased beautifully.

The dress is a sheath of bias cut light weight Italian jersey and has pretty rolled pleat detailing around the neck. It is very chic and very sexy. The original belt can be used on either piece. The dress zips to close with a painted metal zipper. Both pieces are unlined. The hem on both pieces has some faint marks from storage as it was hung by the owner and they touched the ground for many years but it is so long it can easily be hemmed a touch if that bothers you. Otherwise it looks to have never been worn.
