An absolutely beautiful, stunning late 1970s, silk gown by Oscar de la Renta! This is a true beauty and is in mint condition! The bodice is draped and gathered at each side. A gathered bit of silk is attached to one side and swoops up and over the neckline to create a goddess like one shoulder silhouette. The skirt falls to the ground in a perfect sheath of silk. The fabric used is of the finest quality - think a heavier weight silk that has the feel of a Hermes scarf. I love the multi color leaf print that is scattered top to bottom of the gown - it gives it a light airy feel while not taking away form the refinement and classic feel of the piece. A really chic gown that presents even better in person! Excellent condition
Bust: to 17" flat across the back from side seam to side seam
Waist: 13" flat across the back from side seam to side seam
Hips: to 20" flat across the back from side seam to side seam
Bodice: 10" from top of bodice to waist seam
Skirt length: 38" from waist seam to bottom hem
The dress is fully lined - a yellow silky rayon was used through the skirt and a silk organza backs the bodice. The bodice has a full corset/bra built in. This could be removed to give you more room and a less structured fit if needed. It closes with a back painted metal zipper and hook & eye. Hand finished. Note the color is more of a marigold tone then the true yellow as photoed. It is richer and deeper.
